About This Uke Player

I am a thirty something ukulele player based in Singapore. About few months ago, I picked up a "toy" uke and started learning how to play. I have had solid foundation in classical guitar when I am in my teens. But that was a long time ago. I though that the uke is simply a guitar with four strings. *dang* Not really. I delve further into uke 101 basics and got myself a new found love. The ukulele is very user friendly. Its always ready to play, in any circumstances. Waiting for the water to boil, commercial time on the TV, on the bed, ... ... The music from the uke is very unique and brings back memories from Hawaii. Sweet, bright and *beachy*! I will bring you the pitfalls in Uke 101, where to get your first Uke, what to get as your first Uke and lots of "how-tos"!
